Shop Talk Series

In the winter of 2024, I partnered with The Furniture Society to produce a six-part online series through their professional development program Nuts and Bolts. The series was created to help folks who are setting up a shop. The content is relevant for personal shops and institutions or educational environments. Shop Talk speaks to building a shop from scratch or converting an existing space into a shop. This series also covers health and safety and system/personnel management. We had a wonderful turnout and a range of participants working in single-user shops, university settings, galleries, and more. Shop Talk was created to share content and information, but it was also a way to continue to build community, in this case, virtually!
